hi all,
We use a flexiible rubber pipe 40dia to join vaccum pump to valves etc. i have drawn a brass connector and set it up with the rubber pipe. i then use routing to link two parts. all works well with 'auto route'.
the spline it draws has too tight a bend radius for our pipe, ours is min radius 300mm, so although it gives me a geneal idea it not quite right.
is there a setting to make the spline a bit more open and set min radius?

There isn't a setting for this (more's the pity), there are two ways to fix it.
1. Show the spline tangency handles, then drag the handle to increase the 'length' of the tangency. This will give a broader sweep to the curve and will often correct the problem. You can do the same by changing the values in the spline property sheet, or by showing the spline polygon and dragging the control points.
2. RMB on the spline if it has errors and select Repair Route (badly named function). This will usually find a solution but be warned that the shape may not be what you want. This function may add control point to the spline. You can subsequently drag these to change the shape but its very hard to get what you want.
3. You can also add control points yourself and drag these to change the shape. If dragging points, try using the triad to make sure you only drag the point in one direction at a time.
Best regards
