PDM Web and .pdf files

We use the SolidWorks Workgroup PDM Web for our local intranet. Is there a setting somewhere that will just open the .pdf when we try to open it? Here's the situation. We have our vault with our Assemblies and Parts of course, but we also have .pdf's of our Assemblies and Parts. Reason being, is that it is easier for our quality team to open up our drawings in .pdf print them out and inspect them to the .pdf. the .pdf is made straight from the Drawing. So when we go into PDM Web and we highlight a .pdf that we want to open and click the .pdf icon in PDM Web it always asks where do we want to save it first. It used to not do this. It used to just open up the .pdf as normal and not ask where we want to save the file. So what we've been doing is just creating a directory to dump all the .pdf files that we open and periodically delete them. It's kind of a nuisance and hassle. Is there a setting somewhere that we need to check or uncheck? It's been doing this a while now but I seem to think it started in version 2009. I don't really remember it doing it before.

Where on SolidWorks 2009 SP3.0 32bit & 64bit clients
PDM Server 2009 SP3.0
Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition SP2 32bit
We have no Vista Machines, all XP
Everyone is at, at least IE7
Everyone is at, at least Adobe Standard 8.0

Note the two clients in particular connecting to PDM Web are 32bit and have Windows XP SP3 OS, one has IE7 with Adobe Standard 8 on it and the other has IE8 with Adobe Standard 9 on it.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jason
