I'm posting here as a last-ditch effort to get some help on
this, as those of us with the Student Editions get virtually no
support.
I received my copy of SW 2009-2010 SE on Thursday, installed it, and went to start playing with the Routing Add-in. The only reason I actually bought this version, rather than stay with the 2008-2009 version, was to get the Routing Add-in. This is supposed to be included in the latest version as part of the SW Premium package.
Well, currently, it installs as Professional instead and does not install the add-in. I've attempted to modify the installation, have every thing installing from the menu, but it insists that the package is Professional. Essentially, it's looking like SolidWork's licensing system is screwed up.
Does anyone know about this issue and have an idea? I have not been able to work on my graduate project for about 5 weeks waiting for this software to finally arrive, and now I can't even use the one tool I was waiting for.

You will need to reactivate your product. Please follow these steps to re-activate your product:
1. Launch SolidWorks and go to menu Help | Transfer Licenses... Follow the instructions. This will release the activation on your computer.
2. After transferring the license, you will need to delete the .dat and .FF1 files generated in last registration
On vista operating system you can find these files at:
C:\ProgramData\SolidWorks\Licenses
On XP operating system, you can find these files at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolidWorks\License
The "Show hidden file" option of Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options needs to be checked and enabled to view these files.
3. After deleting these files, launch SolidWorks and do the activation. The activation system will say something about converting the installation from Professional to Premium. OK it all, and it will do this.
4. You might have to Update the installation, as some tools were not installed in the original installation. Go to the Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel of Windows and click Change on the SolidWorks installation. Follow the setup instructions and install the tools you need.
5. Run SolidWorks again and enable the Add-ins that were not present before.

Hope this helps some people out there.
