Hey guys,

As title says, I need help resolving a SW Toolbox that is completely empty after installation (and subsequent reinstall). I run SOLIDWORKS Professional 2021 SP2.0 on a Windows 10 PC. My VAR has suggested a few things as described below but we're still trying to figure this out.

  • In SW, only the "Favorites" folder is visible under Design Library --> Toolbox (pictured below).
  • Hole Wizard and Toolbox folder is set to C:\SOLIDWORKS Data in System Options (pictured below).
  • C:\SOLIDWORKS Data\browser only contains the file ToolboxFiles.index but is otherwise empty (pictured below).
  • I am able to insert holes according to the different standards using Hole Wizard, but no hardware is available.
  • I have tried repairing the installation without luck (using "Repair your installation" option).
  • I have tried modifying the installation by uninstalling the Toolbox, removing the Toolbox folder, restarting the computer and reinstalling the Toolbox, also without luck (using "Modify your installation" option).
  • I have tried to download new files in the SP2.0 installer (using "Download and share all files" option) and retrying the two aforementioned steps.
    • The Toolbox folder in the downloaded install files contains all the standards in compressed zip archives (pictured below).

I have a feeling that this shouldn't be so difficult, that perhaps I'm missing something very obvious, but I don't know. Has anyone had similar issues? If anyone would point me in the right direction I'd be very happy. Thanks!
