Back in the day I used to work Inventor and there was this feature you could activate in an assembly where the entire BOM would pop up on the screen like a spreadsheet. In this screen, you could edit the Description and other referenced iProperties. It was awesome because you could clean up an assembly and get your descriptions all in line without needing to open every single file. Additionaly, you could get the quantity of of items used in your assembly right there.

Does SolidWorks have some hidden command like this? I know you can use the Solidworks PDM Tab and right click th epart to get the file card, but that isn't as interactive or easy to use as the old Inventor BILL OF MATERIALS command I remember
