I got myself into a solidworks situation which I couldn't get
out of. I had to kill solidworks through the task manager.
Here's what I did.
Opened an existing assembly with internal parts. Opened the internal part and rolled back the feature tree. I then closed the internal part.
I found myself with one assembly open, which was inaccessible due to the internal part being in roll-back state. I couldn't open the internal part to fix it because I wasn't allowed to work in the assembly.
Was there any other way out?

SW sometimes saves a copy of the internal file. It may still be there.
