I am looking for ideas,
We do not use a PDM nor SW Revision tables, just a general table to control revisions.
Does anybody have an idea on how to insert a rev triangle into a BOM?
Ex.
One Rev. 1 of the assembly and drawing Part #3 was a 2" Carbon flange.
Revising assembly and drawing to Rev. 2 but changing said flange to Stainless. Dimensionally nothing changes only material and our inventory Item ID #.
What I'd like is someway to insert a triangle into the BOM highlighting that that line item has been revised.
I know I could insert a separate column but, I'd like to keep the BOM minimal if possible. I can do it into a general table but inserting a symbol into a SW BOM would change the properties of our library part (flange) which I do not want.
What kind of triangle are you trying to insert?
Will it be sufficient if you just insert a note with triangular border on the row??
You could also copy the note and paste into the row directly... but this will break the parametric item link
If you only want to triangle the row item, you can overlay an empty note with triangular border
You could also copy and paste a note with triangular border but this will also break the parametric item link
