It wasn't me, I think.
This is always a touchy subject for most forums I go to.
Pretty much in every case the "Overlords" do not like to be questioned regardless of how little or much leniency they are willing to give.
Company forums, like this one, are probably best served by having a "No off topic" policy as they do not want comments to reflect on their company.
I get that, but at the same time I think that tends to destroy the community. Are you going to continually check into and stay on a forum that only consists of you answering the same questions over and over? That's why the more seasoned and best "Question answers" tend to leave forums with this policy.
But as I always say....not my sandbox, not my rules.
Ask the Flaw. He brags about it aaaaalllll the time.
According to some here, SWX isn't perfect. I say; it's got to be your workflow or your graphics card.
ryan priddy locked the Favorite Quotes thread as well.
I'm curious to see if he keeps locking "Off Topic" threads.
This may be another attempt to get folks to migrate to the 3D Experience forum.
He is the SOLIDWORKS 3DEPERIENCE Digital Community Manager.
Hey Everyone,
Kitty Dump is unlocked. The content there posted by a few individuals violates the policy the members here wrote before my time as the community manager. Numerous posts a day come to my inbox flagged for abuse from several different threads with reasons why it should be removed and the individuals be banned. So that leaves three decisions on the table:
1. Adhere to the community policy "no politics, religion, name bashing, personal attacks" people who continuously violate it are banned from the forums.
2. Adhere to the community policy above and if the entire thread has ventured off course lock the thread
3. Filter all the post flagged for abuse and remove each post before it gets published
If politics and religion were left out of these threads this wouldn't be a topic of discussion.

That would also explain the awful moderation going on, and the less then plausible excuse of ''it's not on our side, it's on Jive''
And the inconsistent points system. Some people get points every day, most don't.
Yesterday I got points for the first time in about 2 months.
Today, nothing.
Yes, I know that the points mean nothing. The inconsistency is just another symptom of the decline of this forum.
We'll miss you too Fred.
Wait...is that a helicopter I hear......???
