Anybody else run into this problem? In the equations manager, when a line selected underneath "features" I can't select a part or sub-assembly in the feature tree to have it suppressed by an equation.
When I insert the part or sub-assembly into a folder. I can then select the folder to suppress the part or assembly in it.

Something strange is going on here...
My original problem was as follows;
In my assembly, I go to the equations manager and I select a new line under 'Features' (red arrow)
Then, I want to select a part or assembly in the feature tree to suppress (blue arrow) and I get the following error message:
When I move the part (or assembly) into a folder and go back to the equations manager, I can add the folder, containing the part, to the feature line. The equation will the suppress the folder including the part. It;s a workaround, but now I have all these folders containing only one part.
I have spoken to my VAR, because I was almost certain that this could be done without folders in older versions (can't remember which version, I have used 2017, 2015, 2014, 2011). He tried it on one of his assemblies and said he couldn't add a part to the feature line either. But he got a totally different error message . Then he tried it in SW 2020 and said it was doing fine. He could add the part without error message.
Now, just this morning, for trying to keep the screenshots here somewhat simple, i made a new assembly with just one part, and I can add it to the feature line:
So, I guess it must be something in the assembly, something my VAR also had in his assembly, right?
Anyone else ran into this problem?
Can you post some screen shots of what you are trying to do and how you can do it with a folder? This would help understand your issue.
