There are manufacturer who has their electrical database in EPLAN, they provide the file in *.EDZ format, how to use this files (manufacturer database) into Solidworks Electrical?
Hi Pinal... well if you can't open it,.. but doing a search.. it looks like it's on their site and seems to import good? (links/images)
Thank you for your response, however my questions was more related to the electrical parts database rather than the 3D CAD. EDZ file is used in EPlan to fetch the library database of the parts. If i could extract this file in Solidworks Electrical, then i will not need to enter each parts information manually, i believe the EDZ file also contains the electrical symbol of the parts.
(as Evan Stanek mentions... there was a thread here as well)
I'm not sure if this is your answer, but on the Electrical Content Portal there is a tab called "Macros Converter" that lets you upload and convert Eplan files, I haven't used this in a LONG time but maybe that's an option?
