rebuild an assembly

hi!
i have created an assembly with some components. then i open one of those components and change some dimension marks. i return to the assembly documents and the assembly is not rebuild.
what is it wrong?

Correct Answer

Possibly the component in the assembly is lightweight, not fully resolved.

Possibly you changed a different configuration of the part than what is used in the assembly.

  Check out your "External References" setting in options. This may be a contributing cause also.

  i think that it can be the second possibility that you have talked it. after changing the component i have to close the assembly and open again. it can be like this?

    Did you do a ctrl-Q to rebuild, that may be all it needs.

      i think that Mark is right.if you open a component and you change its configuration in Configuration Manager when you return to the assembly (of corse i rebuild it) the component configuration that i have changed it isn´t change.
      if you want to change a component configuration you have to change in the Component Properties. Another ideia can be to control component's configuration by a D.T. what do you think?
