So...making some rollers with two bearings in them. These are very low speed and low force but are somewhat cantilevered in their final installation. My questions is not Solidworks but really engineering related. My hole for the bearing will be press fit sized.
It may be cheaper to make the inner hole straight through like so:
It is more cost to make a ledge to press the bearing up against but could make for a slightly more controlled installation and operation of the bearing:

The through bore approach isn't out of control as the bearings are pressed flush to the ends of the cylinder and you're done (as long as the ends are held nice-ish to the bore).
The shoulders require tolerance depth and better suited for axial loaded bearings.
A third option, although not really needed for this sized situation, is to open the bore between the bearings lands.
This allows for the bearings to be on a common bore without the need to maintain the precision between the bearings.
Without load data, the above is just ramblings.
