I have pump subassemblies that have moving parts that will attach and move with other parts in the main subassembly. When I add the new assembly into the main assembly, the moving parts....well, no longer move! What is going. SW2018, SP5. Thanks!

Right click on the subassembly in the Feature Tree.
When you add one assembly to another assembly it becomes 1 immovable unit.
You can go the flexible sub assembly route (I haven't used flexible sub assemblies since SW 2015, and in SW 2015, they really sucked. Maybe they have gotten better since then).
That being said, if for some reason the flexible sub assembly route doesn't work, then you are going to have to dissolve your sub assembly into the main assembly and get rid of your sub assembly.
Got it. I have not had to do this in quite a long time and YEARS ago you did not have to do this at all...they just came in as flexible. Not sure why they changed this. Other replies showed me where I was going wrong. Thanks!
