Not looking at the video.... It looks like the two bodies are supposed to be rotated 180 degrees out in order to interlock. However, since the bodies are identical (I'm guessing), you need to rotate and additional (or subtractional?) half a hole pitch. Otherwise, hole lines up with hole and you overlap instead of interlocking. Full hole pitch is 360/14. Half a hole pitch is half of this. 180 degrees minus half a hole pitch.

You could maybe avoid this by using an odd number of holes?

Still need that 1/2 * hole degree spacing to rotate the second ring no matter what the number of holes.
