Is it possible to copy a sheet that has multiple views of an assembly to a new sheet and then substitute in another assembly? I know I can do it by creating separate drawings and opening them with changing the reference on open, but I wanted to create the drawings as multiple sheets in the same drawing.
I do that occasionally - copy the sheet, then right click the views you want replaced and select "Replace Model"

yeah, copy the sheet first. After this, open it about the menu and change the references with the new part or assambly

if you changed it via menu, you will change every view on the drawing
So how do I change the BOM on the sheet over to the new assembly I put into the view that the BOM on the sheet refrences?

I ended up doing that, but I thought there was a way to change the BOM references? It's just a pain cause then I have to reformat the BOM again.
You should have a standard BOM, you can do that by going to the BOM that works, right click and save, then pull that BOM from the template file...
