Hi, when I import a picture using Sketch Picture, how do I tell SW to set the scale of 1 pixel in the picture = x mm of the model? What is the default value?
I believe it's exactly what you'd expect. If you can get your image the exact size you need in whatever image software you are using then it will be perfect.
If you are not so lucky then you can rescale inside solidworks.
The help file can show you easy enough. I have a slightly embarrassing video on scaling sketch pictures I made for internal use, but you're welcome to look.
Thanks Rob for the nice video. At 13:58, you reset the origin. Origin of the photo? Why we need to do that?
So there is no direct method of setting the scale of 1 pixel in the picture equals to, say 1 mm of the model, all in one step?
Am I correct that by default, it is 1 pixel = 1mm?

As Rob mentioned - I say what you want to do is use the Scale Tool which resizes your image based on a dimensional reference in the image - very handy! Nice tutorial Rob!
I always take the photo with a ruler beside the part.
Also there are lens distortion, perspective and camera not perpendicular to object.
