Hi All,
I'm having the following simulation error.
FFEPlus solver failed for constraint equations;
Solidworks Simulation is to switch the solver to Intel Direct Sparse.
My intent with the simulation is to determine the stress generated in the angled bracket whilst restraining two perpendicular concrete lintels (which themselves are supported on brickwork). If anyone could help me with this it would be much appreciated.
I changed all the contact sets to surface-surface ("High accuracy") and switched to the direct sparse solver.The bolt setup did not make physical sense so I changed it to a threaded screw. The middle plate of the bolt grip remains loose (free to slide), but with a direct solver I don't expect it to fly away.
Running now.
This is exactly the kind of problem covered in the newly published Solidworks Simulation for Real Machines. A lot of points that are never touched in Solidworks documentation and problems beyond the practical scope of any Solidworks class are covered.
