Hi, i would just like to ask if anybody knows how to plot or enable to plot the Effective Germicidal Dose parameter in the Radiation study in Flow simulation, i have done some different tests but i cant find how to enable the Effective Germicidal Dose plot parameter in the radiation analysis..thanks
Hi,
To add those "exotic" parameters, you have to go to the Technical Database, where you can find all the materials etc..
Then, you have to add the parameters in the tab "Visualisation parameters" :
You can find (I think) absolutely every parameters that exists in Flow Simulation.
Then, you can show it in the insertion of a cut plot (I think it works for surface parameters or surface visualisation)

Thanks for the response, i tried to follow what you told me but i only get Failed to complete result when i do a cut plot or surface plot, and i dont know the formula for this if i have to do this manually. I also found out that if i use Flow trajectory plot it shows a color bar result but its all Zero(0) value Min and Max are always Zero.

I've never used this parameter so i don't know how it is calculated ; maybe it works only for a certain method of radiation, so it could be that you can add it but not use it without the HVAC module that expands the use of radiation... I don't see any explanation anywhere on how to use it.
There are some parameters like the one above that you can use only with HVAC module, shown in the List of parameters but the Effective Germicidal Dose is not even listed in this ...
Moreover I don't know its unit, do you ?
Actually i dont know its unit, i just tried to access it because i saw it on the Units settings and i am also looking for some kind of this, thanks for the response, i will try how to obtain a result cut plot from this.
Ok ok ; during my search I've seen the unit is J(oule)/m² (shown when you select it on the "Adding a parameter" window for a cut plot), so the same as a flux ; I've tried other parameter which is related to it, not working as well. My guess is that you have to have the HVAC module.
How do you know if you have the HVAC module? i mean where do you enable it? thanks..
IIt's in the "?" main tab of SolidWorks,, there must be something called "My Products", and you can see every product of SolidWorks you have, including the HVAC or Electronic module of Flow Simulation.
