Bend Lines Visible After Opening Drawing

When I make a drawing of a sheet metal part and return to the model, the bend lines are always visible until I CTRL-Q each part (doesn't go away via CTRL-Q at assembly level). Does this happen to anyone else and is there a way to prevent it besides using the "eyeglass button" which I will NEVER use so don't recommend that?

This isn't a huge deal since I manually save out DXFs, so I have to reopen the parts anyways. It still gets annoying to open assemblies from other people who don't take the time to get rid of them.
