Is it possible to swap the behavior of the Ctrl and Shift modifier keys with the middle mouse button? I.e. use Shift+MMB to pan and Ctrl+MMB to zoom.
I've been using SolidWorks for a few years but didn't realize until recently that I don't really pan that much for some reason (usually zooming out and back in again to move the view). However I've recently started swapping between SolidWorks and some other software which uses Shift+MMB to pan and Ctrl+MMB to zoom which has brought back over a decade of muscle memory of doing it that way and now I keep finding myself trying to pan in SolidWorks all the time by pressing Shift. I'd really prefer to just swap these around in SolidWorks than try and relearn my muscle memory with these keys. I would think this should be easy to change but I can't find the pan/zoom/orbit commands anywhere in the Customize > Keyboard menu.
Hello,
I don't believe there's an SW setting for this, but I can write an Autohotkey utility that will send a Shift+MMB message when you Ctrl+MMB (and vice versa) when SW is the active program.
