I used to be able to select (highlight) text in a table and make it bold with SW 2017. It does not work for me in 2020. Any thoughts? a setting somewhere?

It looks like you double clicked the cell and then toggled 'Use document settings'. Try single clicking in the cell you want to change and then toggle 'Use document settings' It should look like this when you deselect the 'Use document font':
Note the toolbar is different and the font chooser pops out below the table settings. If you want to change the font of just some of the text in a cell, you have to select the text, then right click and select 'Font' from the popup menu.
Thank you Jim. I messed around with that for a few days. Not sure why that was changed? I guess it is easier to just select the cell than having to highlight the text first.
