I have an cone part, wich i revolved in features.
i cannot use insert bends because there is a little edge on the side.
can anyone help me with this problem?
you will have more success if you model this directly with the sheet metal tools. Specifically, the Lofted-Bend.
Here's a video SolidWorks Lofted Bend Tutorial | SolidWorks Sheet Metal Cone Tutorial | Sheet Metal Transitions - YouTube
I just noticed the rolled bottom edge. I thought perhaps the Sweep-Flange might work, but it doesn't seem to like non-linear edges. However, if you use it directly on a sketch path, you get something close. See file attached
hi Bjorn, I have editted your part to my standards but even though the flatten button works. but the flattened part isn't a circular result.
Edit the Lofted-Flange feature and check the 'flatten Along Path' box.
here you are.
Thanks Heiko, how can you work with sheet metal this good haha
Please double check two major things:
Radius of flat pattern 1500 mm / Radius theoreticaly must be 1566
Angle of cutout at 15 dgr of cone must be 12.25 degrees. Sweapt flange feature not affect angle of flat pattern, it is the same as formed cone - 1 degree.
My method is a bit cumbersome, but it works.
