I'm a beginner in Solidworks surface modeling. I already created several models using surfaces and I need to improve them to an advanced level.
So, can any of you provide me some drawings or links to practice my own? It will be very helpful...

Totally agreed ! Tutorial with samples are great but applying the samples to your own surfacing design is something diff. Need more practice, and yes practice ... practice... , to learn all the tricks by yourself

I already covered the basics Maha Nadarasa , but when creating complex shapes, I got stuck.. can you suggest an advance practical based course or pdfs.
In the YouTube, you can see many advance surface designs created by using other design software. You can try to develop those models using SWX. It is a good practice because seeing the model only you have to decide everything (dimension, angle, position ect.)

Hi Maha,... NX is using their SubD surface modeler.
SolidWorks has something similar, xShape but it's in another cloud based program.

Alternately, there is a Add-in called PowerSurfacing
I can see my screenshot is next to the SWX model and SWX model is resemble to screenshot model. It does not seem like a sketch picture method. Is it possible to know which method it is?

Seems like that section is a little bit thicker than the shell thickness ?

..most likely the offset is folding/overlapping... and it gets worse when you mirror (as with that example)... so,. adjust curves or shell before the mirror and mirror the shell?
Mirror -> Knit Surface -> Shelling, Produce this result. You can notice that opposite side opening is okay. Symmetry is not retained by mirroring.

..yes,... the mirror should be identical.... sadly, I've seen this many times over the years.

I own books from both groups and even though Matt's book is dated, his book is 460 pages at $33 versus the other book which is only 260 pages for $60. Quality for both is pretty good, but Matt's book is going to be more detailed and more comprehensive while the SDC book is going to be more up to date. If you've got enough money, I'd say get both.
