When I load a part to edit i'm getting all of the work showing in the FT but there is only the Solidworks logo showing I've tried the hide unhide as well as tools/ option/ feature manager/ solid bodies/ show.

Hi John,
It does look like you have a graphics problem. Try opening SOLIDWORKS, leave all files closed, then go to 'Tools', 'Options', 'System Options', 'Performance', where you would then enable "Use Software OpenGL". Once enabled check the file again and see if things don't get better.
Can you upload your part? I also have SW2014 although it is on a computer running windows 8.1

I did get it running again. There was an option in Tools/options/performance "use software Open GL " that was not turned on.
Not sure how that happened though

That setting typically should only be turned on if you're using a graphics card that isn't supported/certified by SW and works poorly. I'm not familiar with all the technicalities, but it's my understanding that selecting that option bypasses something to let the software work, but some of the graphics features won't be available.

SWX 2015 SP5 was the first release wich supports Windows 10.
Turning Software Open/GL to On means you are in fail-safe-mode with no hardware acceleration at all. This should be turned off whenever possible. Please update your Graphics Card Driver with a certified one or the most recent, downloaded from the hardware vendors website. And then try again ...
...well.. I have 2014 as well and it works ok... but I'm pretty sure 2014 is certified for Windows 7 ,... it's not official on Windows 10? (although, as you and I both know it can work on Windows 10)
... the issue is most likely video card and driver related.
..so,.. going back.. did it work before?... and when did this happen... date/time... Windows 10 or video card Update?
