Hi, I tried on two different machines. The colors on both machines look the same but they do not look like the colors as named by SolidWorks. How come? How do I make SolidWorks displays accurate colors? Note that it does not matter if I have RealView or not as it makes no different.
Here are some examples:
1. Gloss Red under Painted->Car looks dark red in any orientation.
2 white high gloss plastic under Plastic-High Gloss. Depending on how you rotates it, it could be dark gray. Perhaps due to lightings. Any good lightings settings that would allow the objects to look more or less the same color regardless of orientation?
3. Metalic gold under Painted->Car looks orange on one side and dark brown on another side.
This is 100% due to the lighting selected for your scene in the viewport window. Solidworks has always, in my experience, been a bit dark in terms of the color representation by default.
I've had good results increasing the ambient light in addition to adding brightness to the directional lights. The image below is a before and after w/ the same white high gloss plastic color selected for each. The only change was to the lights in the scene.
Can you have considered reverting SOLIDWORKS to its default settings?
