I'm looking through this part of a bicycle frame, which has the geometry laid out on a separate sketch. Each feature has a 'On Edge' relation to the geometry sketch. Does anyone know how it's created? These sketches don't seem to be derived from the geometry sketch.
Any thought appreciated.
But how would convert entity be used in that file? Construction lines can't be converted, right?

You can.
Constuction lines are on the other sketch - gray. Solid line is in next.
I've spent a fair bit of time figuring out but to no avail. Am I supposed to use Convert Entities? But the lines can't be selected for conversion.

..yeah,.. per the parent/child.. your Sweep2 path has Sketch2 which uses/copies Sketch1 (image)

If they are converted entities, and you want to modify them, you can delete the on-edge relationship and then convert them to a style spline or simplify (if they aren't linear) or if they look linear, then draw a line and use replace sketch entity function.
Update: after briefly looking at the file, this is a pretty straightforward approach as Paul mentions - referred to as a Layout sketch, that can then drive the various sketches in the child features. You can know that because if you go to that base sketch and then "Display/Delete Relations" and drop down to external, there is only one external constraint and that's to the origin.
As far as I know On Edge relation is a default relation takes place when use convert entity. No way to create it.
