I am trying to get a file's extension (e.g. SLDASM) from a PDM data card variable for my workflow.

I know I can use a condition like "Filepath" "Text contains" SLDASM. However, this is not reliable in my case, as there are files saved like "File.SLDASM.SLDASM" in PDM.

I created an editbox with "File name" as default value, then tried to take only the last 6 characters with Input formula in another editbox. The latter was blank until I edited the editbox with the default value.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

By the way, I am using PDM Professional.
