Does the "cl" symbol for centerline appear automatically when inserting the centerline feature? I can't get the "cl" to show just the dotted line.

Vote for SPR 638486: Automatically add CL symbol ( <MOD-CL> ) to centerlines in drawing views for a chance at seeing it in a future release.
Also, I would ask everyone interested in this topic to post images of how they'd prefer the symbol to appear. Some need the CL to appear directly on the centerline, while others need it to appear just beyond the centerline (similar to letters for Section Views). If the CL is to appear on top of the centerline, do you want to always have it rotated or offset to avoid the L overlapping the centerline when its vertical? Or, do you want a leadered note with an arrow pointing from the CL to the centerline?

For me it would be just beyond the c/l.
Hello Matthew,
I'm sure you'd take care of this anyway without me asking, but will you please make sure that if this is implemented it would be an option, and preferably one that's turned off by default? I often have multiple center lines in a drawing view and I certainly wouldn't want that symbol on each one.

I just voted for it but when I look at my enhancement requests (which includes SPR's I voted for.) that SPR is closed.
Tony,
I just checked SPR 638486. It is Open. You may be looking at your SR's status. SR's are closed when they are processed. In your case, your vote automatically created and closed an SR. When the SR is closed, it counts as your company's vote for the SPR to which it is assigned (the one for which you voted). You should be able to see the status of your SPRs in your customer portal as well. The SPR should show up as Open.

Ah, I understand now. Thanks for the info Matthew!

me likie! yeah, something so basic (I just copy/paste a CL block (same since 2001+) which has annoyed me for so long.
I haven't used CL for maybe 10 years. I believe it was removed from specs, but I can't find where it states it. But, the new specs do not show it.
With a note, yes. Not automatically AFAIK.
