I imported the STEP file but it is giving me an issue... It's still a surface body instead of a solid body. I found the edge giving me issues. I'm not too well versed on using the surface bodies tool though, what is the simplest way to fix this? When I try knitting the 2 surfaces it does not work. Not sure if there are other ways around this.
Makes sense. Thanks for your reply. So probably do a fill surface to fill the gap and then after that I should be able to stitch it?
It is hard to say what to do without the step file. Could you upload it?
...looks like some raised letters? there are a few things.. first try and split the intersection and delete the overlaps.. if that does not do it.. first copy the overlapping surfaces (then hide) and then delete those overlaps.. then trim back the copied surfaces .. and knit them back.
Just wondering, did you run Import Diagnostics before you tried to fix it manually? I run that first on problem imported parts,

Anyway, knitting that like it is will create "zero-thickness geometry". That gap needs to be closed.
