So you don't know what you did wrong, but you're happy with that?
Here's the thing: There is something odd going on here, but you could do yourself some favors.
First of all,do you have your scale right? Your model is huge.
Make sure you sketch the shape to extrude, don't make major shapes of the part with the Fillet feature. So make this sketch:
If you make the sketch above, the feature will work. For some reason, it doesn't like your full round fillet feature. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
Second, this happens a lot on parts where the rib touches a curved edge.
Make sure the rib sketch is tangent to the edge or intersects the part. Remember that the rib has to terminate into the existing part surfaces. Rib isn't going to make any additional faces for you automatically.
Also, remember that the arrow points toward the material. SW has to know where to put material.
I agree that there is something going on here that shouldn't be going on, but you could help yourself by using a more conventional approach to this feature.
I had a look at Waynes part just to see what he did. First, he skirted the problem by just using an extrude feature. But beyond that, do you see anything wrong with this part? Notice where the cursor is that it's not highlighting the fillet face? It sees right into the part. So there's something major effed up with this part. Plus, the tangent edges are not shown. Nothing against Wayne, but don't trust this model, it's got errors.

Yea right. Don't try to hang it on me
Wayne Schafer I recommend you search Amazon for "Matt Lombard" instead of taking offense at having an error pointed out. Pointed out by the man that literally 'wrote the book' on SolidWorks.
