Missing Feature Properties Window

Beginning this afternoon, when I am trying to edit a feature in the context of an assembly, the feature property manager window does not appear. (2020 SP4). I am seeing this on two different computers.

I believe it is related to the latest windows update. Everything was fine this morning. When I got back to my computer later this afternoon windows had installed updates and needed to reboot. I continued working, and saw this behavior while creating a sketch driven assembly pattern. After the reboot I noticed it while trying to edit an extrude in a part in the context of the assembly. (This is a part using SSP, and has the external references that come with it. I'm not sure if that is relevant or not.)

I have tried it with enhanced graphics on and off.

I have reported it to my VAR. I plan to upgrade to SP5 in the morning and see if that makes any difference.

Has anyone else seen this?

Have you tried resetting system settings?

As I stated in the original post, I am seeing this on two different computers.

SP5 did not fix it.

After resetting the registry it wouldn't open the assembly. It said the files were corrupt. After restoring settings I'm back to the same place.

I spent a lot of time debugging this problem. I tried everything I could think of and tested it 100 times. It always failed. Including the testing I did right before starting the remote session with the VAR. Literally 5 minutes earlier and I changed nothing. So of course it worked just fine.

My VAR thinks it was somehow related to his connection acting as another monitor. I guess it makes sense. There is certainly huge correlation between the two events.

I have my work computer to play with on Monday.

This is definitely a part problem. If anyone wants to see if they can duplicate it, I've attached 2 assemblies.

BoxShelves.sldasm exhibits the problem behavior. BoxShelves2.sldasm does not. To see the problem behavior, open the assembly, expand the part labeled HorizDiv, right click on Boss-Extrude1 and Edit Feature. Do the same thing in BoxShelves2 and everything works as it is supposed to.

The only thing I did different in BoxShelves2 was to step through the patterns and rebuild them one at a time. (That is what I did waiting for the VAR to create the remote session. After that, everything worked fine.)
