When turning on part transparency via "change transparency" button is there a way to make the edges transparent as well?
Show the display plane (#1) show the body folder (#2) right click over display style (#3) change to Shaded. This works similarly in assemblies.
I'm looking for more of a default setting change where the edges are ghosted whenever transparency is toggled.
Otherwise I'd have to change the display style of each individual part back and forth every time.
Record a macro to toggle? and or save as a Display State?
I'm only 6mo in with SW and not sure what either of those mean. Can you explain?
Ok understandable. I was going to inquire to what your needs are / end goal is for transparency without edges? Sometimes our wants, dont match with what we truly need and then matching the capabilities/understanding of the software, let alone trying to design/engineer components.
Macro (execution of commands) - you can write a macro or you can record a macro, Recording should be simpler that writing one, but I have little to no experience with either
Display state (like configurations for look/appearance) - you can make changes to appearance (color, transparency, hide/show) and then you can toggle between the two.
I just tried to record a macro and save a display state, both appear NOT to retain the Display Style (without out edges) so that says to me its more of a system option.?
happy modeling. Jason
