Anything you can post, even a screen capture?
My first thought is the text font being used but I don't really ever use the "Scribe" feature so I'm not 100% on the issue at hand. I can't replicate your issue but I have only used my default Century Gothic font.
The "Emboss" and "Deboss" types add a feature thickness/cut that can be measured but I've always assumed the "Scribe" type is similar to a surface in that is has no thickness associated with it and I simply don't know the feature well enough to understand what your issue may be.
Do you see the same behavior when changing the type of feature over to Emboss/Deboss?

I'm stuck as I don't have that font at the ready, possibly someone else does but I suspect the issue is the font. Short of trying another font which I can only assume will be a problem I'd try reaching out to your VAR and see if they don't have a fix.
For the record if anyone is curious or if I'm incorrect my search came back with that font being: Nizzoli Alt Light by Los Andes
I would maybe suggest using "Check Sketch for Feature..." under the Tools menu | Sketch Tools and see if it shows an error for an extrude/boss or other feature.
If no errors show, check to see if the feature is using Contour Selection as this would require you to click inside those areas to include them.
Finally, what is the font you are using?
The font is Nizzoli Alt.
I ran the check sketch for extrude and cut and it told me the sketch is clean. I am using the wrap feature which doesn't have the Contour Selection option.
I deleted the Wrap feature and tried a straight extrude, the Contour Selection option does not recognize the geometry created by the font/text tool. It does recognize the line art in the sketch.
The extrude also filling in the "O".
When I have had this happen in the past I have had to dissolve the text into sketch entities (Right-Click "Dissolve Sketch Text") and then it has worked better. Beyond that, I have had to dissolve the text and then sketch over some of the geometry with lines, arcs, and splines to make it work as I want.
Bottom line is that sketch text is sometimes 50/50 works or doesn't without some help especially when combining with the wrap feature.
