I have a weldment that has a plate that I need to make a separate drawing for. I saved the body out into a new part. The issue is the tapped holes will not call out in the drawing. I get the tap drill diameter not the thread call out. Just wondering if there is a way around this besides manually typing the information in.

I really, really, really, REALLLLLLYYYYY wish Solidworks would have an option for cut lists to only show items that have been selected in this mode. This would eliminate the need for the "insert into new part" which isnt very reliable and cant be updated with more bodies

Have you tried setting up configurations in the Part file, with the "Delete Bodies" feature used to remove bodies that aren't wanted in a particular view and it's corresponding cut list, and then reference that configuration in the Drawing?
That's not the worst idea. Configurations just gets messy when dealing with large structures. Definitely would need to make sure you have the appropriate features suppressed (or not) in every configuration as you make modifications to the model. This would be easier to work with in derived configurations, but derived configurations do not exist in cut lists for some reason
you can always just delete the item in the bom
Of course. But that's more of a bother than it sounds when you have 100+ parts in your bom and the needed parts are scattered within. The performance on large lists also takes a major hit. Not worth it unless its just a small part

Thanks for sharing this, Glenn, the '5th method' is very useful! I've always used 'Auxiliary View' to set pieces on weird angle, but I think 'Relative View' is the right commad!
You don't need to create a new part. In the drawing, when creating a new view, you can select the body to put on the view.
