How do you create a watertight solid of surfaces or something able to 3d print
You have to save a .stl file from a solid model to send to the 3D printer.
Model a solid.
Try thicken the surface.
Nice to see you making some progress, while surfacing has many benefits. I would recommend trying to model using solid features, solids can do most of what surface do without the 'extra' features. 'Solid' Work. happy modeling.
Rather than doing reverse engineering, I think it is easy to build this model from scratch.
If you are unable to figure out yet, rotate this part by 360 degree while taking video and upload it. I will try.
ok I made a 3d print wasn't very thick though
Are you trying to replicate the model? if so let me see the scree shot of model's isometric view.
