I have a Professional Solidworks licence but My Solidworks does not show the "Define Weld Check Plot" option in the results.
Do you have SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional or SOLIDWORKS Professional? If you do have Simulation Pro, do you have any welds defined in your study?
I am having Solidworks professional and yes I have applies the shell feature and assigned edge weld connector in the connections.
I am confused when you say SOLIDWORKS Professional. It does not include Simulation, only Simulation Express and that does not have edge welds. SOLIDWORKS Premium does include Simulation Standard. Simulation Standard does allow you to create edge welds, but it does not allow you to generate weld strength plots To do this, you need Simulation Professional or Simulation Premium..
I know this is misleading and have complained to SOLIDWORKS about this. If you have a Simulation training manual, there is a lesson on edge welds, but fine print says it requires Simulation Professional to plot results. The SOLIDWORKS website is even worse. If you compare features of the different Simulation Products, there is an Advanced Interactions and Connectors that is checked for Simulation Professional and Premium. You expand this feature and you see Edge Weld Connector.
