Hi,
I am new to the Flow Simulation add on and have a question regarding the view factor of two objects in the simulation.
I want to calculate the view factor of a break disk (Object 1) of a vehicle to the Wheel (Object 2). My first try was to create these objects, after that I defined parameters of the objects, refined the mesh and startet a flow simulation. But now I dont know how to find the View Factor (F12). Is there a way to look up this parameter in the calculations?
Thankyou for any help.
Best regards

Hi,
I've searched a little bit about the Validation Example that you can find in the folder C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation\Validation Examples\11 - Annular tube (for SWX 2020). You have the explanations of it there : C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation\lang\english\Docs .
I have attached you a screen in which all the different radiations rate are calculated as surfaces parameters. I think that with all the radiations rates and the equations of J2, G2, J1 and G1, you can find everything including the View Factor F12 and F21.
If you can't select all the radiations rate directly, you have to go there :
Hope it will help, let me know if it works for your problem.
EDIT : Maybes those equations shown are not exactly the same for your problem because of the simplifications made.
