I am running the file upgrade utility....every time a task completes, I find the local toolbox cache gets deleted. I am only doing .sldprts in batches so shouldnt be an issue...but going to graduate to assemblies soon and hoping to figure out a way that doesn't keep happening (in case I forget to get the toolbox cached before running a batch of assemblies).
I have enabled to get local copy of the toolbox folder on login...but that only helps if I reboot. I don't see any options in the file upgrade utility to keep this from happening.
I there a setting somewhere on this in either the admin tool or the file upgrade utility?
The file version upgrade tool will always clear the whole cache between each batch - so unless the files are stored as references in the vault for the parent files part of the batch - they would not remain cached.
I'd suggest voting on enhancement SPR 967200 for adding an option to exclude clearing cache for certain folders.
You could potentially work around the problem by forcing the toolbox folder to become read-only, that way the tool will not be able to clear the cached files. See knowledge base solution S-065892 for an example.
