Hello All, in a assembly if i want to use one part to subtract from another how is this possible?
How to use one Part to remove Material from another Part in an Assembly?
Core & Cavity feature works well for this.
2019 SOLIDWORKS Help - Cavities and the Cavity PropertyManager
This function works well in a standard model (sldprt) but not in a assembly (sldasm)
When working on mold design, We can use Cavity feature to perform Boolean operations in assembly workbench as well.

You need to be in part edit mode in order to use these features in the assembly.
If core/cavity isn't what you are looking for you may try editing a part w/in the assembly and you can (sometimes) use 'Convert Entities' to project feature elements. CAUTION: this can backfire if something changes in either part (it becomes dependent) but you can break the link - still a messy option.
excellent work, thanks
