I'm in both but I prefer this forum
I'm a member of both, and I think you get a lot of bad answers on reddit.That happens less here. People on reddit tend to be more into reddit than SW.
In my opinion, it breaks down to the following:

Also, I do use both.
I have never heard of r/SolidWorks. I guess not popular.

Answer is simple :
It is up to individual. More the benefit better the will be.
I'm in both. If I have questions, I come here. If I need Solidworks memes, I go there.
It depends, do you like the idea of SWX having access to your information and what you post or do you trust Reddit more?

This community has many helpful, friendly Solidworks experts with a lot of knowledge and good humor.
I have a reddit account from some time ago but never felt at home there.
