Hello, I am trying to create an extruded cut that bends with the surface of the object that I am extruding from. 

I have created a 3D sketch with a curved sketch projected onto the surface. I then go to an extruded cut with the orientation set to be perpendicular to the sketch as shown:

It displays the cut in yellow but when I click the to make the cut this appears. I get no warnings or errors, the whole body is just highlighted yellow and I had to press Esc to get out of it. 

I have tried using the feature scope to select the main bodies like this but it takes me back to the same error as above:

I have played around with extrusion depth and size but I keep getting the same error so I am not sure what the problem is.
