Wrap Scribe and Flat Pattern

I have a sheet metal part that I have to scribe some text into. I can't use any type of cut because our laser software interprets a cut as a "Cut thru" and only scribes actual scribes features.

I scribed the part in the folded state. However when I change to a flat pattern the scribe disappears. It doesn't show an error, just doesn't show up on the part.

I have tried unfolding the part and adding the scribe and adding the scribe directly to the flat pattern. The unfold doesn't help at all, adding it directly to the flat pattern scribes the part, but that scribe gets suppressed when you switch back to folded version.

None of the above happens with either of the other two options on wrap, only scribe.

Is there a work around or fix for this for anything other than having the wrap duplicated and in both the flat pattern and folded version?
