I seem to run into a lot of problems when I try to edit features on imported .stp files. Usually I'm given a .stp file, the original dimensioned drawing to reference, and a list of edits that need to be made. But unfortunately it seems like more often than not, I'm forced to redraw the entire model rather just being able to make the changes I need.

For example, attached is a model I was given. The model only shows 1 "pocket", but the drawing calls out that the "pocket" should actually be in a 4 x 8 array, 2.61" apart in x/y directions. (so 32 "pockets" total). I thought "easy enough, I just need to do a linear pattern." But I can't seem to be able to edit or select anything. I also need to reduce the diameter of the circular feature in the center of the "pocket". But again, everything I try to edit using "edit  feature" gives me a "Direct Edit Not Possible" error message.

This is just one example of a daily struggle I encounter with models that I need to revise, and I know there has to be an easier way to edit them than redrawing the entire thing.
