When I inserted a sub assembly into another assembly, the mates of the sub assembly became irresponsive. Is there any way to insert an assembly to assembly with mates.
What do you mean irresponsive, do you have moveable components in the original assembly?
I think you want to look at making your assembly flexible, see:
2020 SOLIDWORKS Help - Flexible Subassemblies
Make sub-assemblies of your assembly then insert sub-assemblies into assembly.
I inserted my movable Assembly into another Assembly and now it won’t move. What happened?
Hello Umair, to make it simple why don't you open and edit or update by opening into a separate window.
Sometimes when inserting an assembly into another assembly, it will be Fixed depending on your settings.
look at your model tree, right click on the offending assembly and make it "Float". Then you should be able to define it's mates.
