Simulation, oscillating force vector?

Question asked by Matt Juric on Oct 22, 2020

I have a part that is being acted upon by a rod that is connected to a crank. The force from the crank/Rod will be an input force for a simulation on the part.

I know I can put the force vectors in at a couple different directions and probably be good but I was wondering how one would approach a "Motion simulation" that actually had the force oscillating.

Never tried so I have no idea if it can be done or even how to approach it.

Part slides back and forth like a piston in a engine as the rod drives it. Rod is connected to the large hole and drives or pulls from the vectors shown.

I'm actually more curious how or if you would do it than actually having to do it at this point.
