When I want to add a dimension to a sketch between a circle or radius and anything else smart dimension will automatically dimension to the center of the radius. That's all fine and good.
BUT! Sometimes I want to add the dimension to the minimum or maximum side of the radius. So I have to :
- Select smart dimension tool
- click the radius A
- click the radius B
- drop the dimension on the sketch
- enter a dimension and/or click OK/green check/enter.
- Select the new dimension
- click the leaders tab
- scroll to the bottom
- select first arc condition (min or max)
- select second arc condition (min or max)
- click OK/Enter
- Select the new dimension (because my first dimension was not right)
- enter a dimension and click OK/green check/enter.
While that method works it is really annoying over the long term. I would like to do this:
- Select smart dimension tool
- Ctrl+click the radius A (sets it to max)
- Shift+click the radius B(sets it to min)
- Drop the dimension on the sketch
- Enter a dimension and/or click OK/green check/enter.
Does anyone know if that can be done? Hot keys? Macro? It doesn't have to be ctrl or shift, just some assignable hotkey or even right click option.
