I would like to split a few curves by some intersecting surfaces. Could you please tell me how can I do that? For example in the following picture, I would like to split the curves by surface.

Am I wrong or from your image, I don't see any intersecting surfaces?
Since you didn't att. a file here so I just made up a split sample for you
He did say curves.....so I am guessing that he wants to split the sketch lines by using the crossing surfaces.
Honestly the easiest way to do that would be to extrude the sketch as surfaces and extend them through the surfaces underneath. then use the surfaces to split the extruded surfaces. Then use convert entities to grab the edges of the new split surfaces to get your lengths.
If it is a pattern, then you could do some sort of sketch pattern instead of straight lines.
I suspect the Pierce Relations will get you where you want to go.
If the curves are 2D, then I'd use the intersection curve tool, then place a point at the intersection and then use the Sketch> split tool. If 3D curves use a 3D sketch point at the intersection of the surface and curve and contain the 3D sketch point to be on-surface constraint - then split or trim.
