Hello,

I have a question on moving parts to sub-folders without affecting the assembly.

Here is the situation.

My main folder currently contains the below items

38pph.sldprt

38ppg.sldprt

38ppj.sldprt

28ppg.sldprt

28ppk.sldprt

42ssj.sldprt

42ssk.sldprt

42ssm.sldprt

mainassembly.asm

I want to change the folder structure.

I want to create three folders here as 38 series, 28 series and 42 series.

38 series folder will contain:

38pph.sldprt

38ppg.sldprt

38ppj.sldprt

28 series folder will contain:

28ppg.sldprt

28ppk.sldprt

42 series folder will contain:

42ssj.sldprt

42ssk.sldprt

42ssm.sldprt

Main folder will contain:

mainassembly.asm

I tried to create this folder and cut and paste the items into their respective folder. Then When I opened the mainassembly, all parts gets suppressed. I need to either manually search or I have to change the reference folder path for each part.

Is there any easier way to do this or a macro? This is just an example I have shown. I have like 800 parts to be grouped under 25 different series. Can anyone help?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
