I am trying to create a custom BOM template for my company. One of the requirements is including the surface area for parts in the BOM. I do not see any option for surface area in any of the drop down menus...can anyone help? I can use assembly visualization to see the surface area, but I don't know of a way to automatically extract it. 

Can surface area of parts be automatically extracted into a BOM without a manual work around?

Any help appreciated.
