Sheet metal base flange configuration

What about changing the base flange "Direction 1" end condition to "Mid plane"...then part extrudes equally in both directions. See attached pic.

I am new to Solidworks (I spent 5 1/2 years using Autodesk Inventor) and have a question about using a configuration to the control the directions 1 & 2 lengths of a base flange feature. I sketched a single line profile of the desired section shape and used the Base-Flange feature to make the length for the first (default) configuration. (I use directions 1 & 2 because I want the part symmetrical with the orgin planes). I can't find a way to tie the directions 1 & 2 lengths to specific configurations. In Inventor, I would share the sketch between different features.

Jeff - Here's how I made the attached part.

1) Single line base flange (you already know how to do that)
2) Insert>Design table (just click on the green check mark to accept the defaults)
3) CTRL-Click to select the dimension(s) that you want to include in the table - I chose D1@Sketch1 and D2@Base-Flange1 - then click on OK
4) Add configuration names in column A - I renamed "Default" to "Small" and added "Big"
5) in cell B4 I entered a dimension for the length - 3.125. In cell C4 I added a formula for the width (=2*C3) just because that seemed cool.
6) click anywhere outside of the design table to close it. Notice the dimensions that are controled by the design table are now pink.

Switch to the configurations tab and you'll now see the new configurations listed.

Another way to add dimensions to a design table is to RMB on Annotations and turn on Show Feature Dimensions. With the design table open, you can double click on the dimension to add it to the table.
